Last Sunday it rained in the morning but turned to snow by noon. By later in the afternoon there were blizzard-like conditions. We received about 6 inches of snow in the blowing wind. This is a picture taken that evening as the snow was still coming down.

Evening service was canceled and so we put up the Christmas tree. Here is Elijah posing in the room as we put the tree up.

Winter 2007 Piano Recital

The winter recital was held in a 1800s house that has been converted into a Steinway piano store and recital hall. Andrew below is playing a duet with his instructor.

A Troubled Tummy

About midnight last night I heard someone stumbling into the bathroom. I showed up to witness this scene. Apparently she wasn't able to get the seat up in time but her aim was perfect. Anna had come home from school early because of an upset stomach and had vomited earlier in the afternoon. She seemed fairly good until this happened. Today she hasn't felt great but has been doing most of her normal activities (pestering her brothers and finding things to do besides homework:-) BTW, that is some oranges, jelly toast and chicken noodle soup in case you were wondering.

Andrew's 8th Birthday

The day after Thanksgiving was Andrew's birthday. Originally Andrew had been saying he wanted a pumpkin pie for this birthday then Graham decided he wanted an apple pie. Well, after thanksgiving it just seemed like too much to make another pie when we had so many leftovers so Andrew had to settle for left over pumpkin pie. Its pretty tough getting 8 candles onto one slide. He was really good about the whole situation and really enjoyed his birthday.
The lego watch that he had been looking at in the Lego catalogue for a few months.
