New York Times article on the missrepresentation of Shell of Omans Oil yield. It seems Oman's oil field have been in decline since 1997 rather than the rosy picture that Shell has been putting on it.
Hopefully this is only a Shell problem and not symptomatic of the rest of the middle east.
