Andrew Sledding

My first attempt to make an animated gif with the software package Photoshop Elements.
We went sledding Saturday and the conditions were perfect with the foot of snow, temps in the 20s and snow falling. The city has several sledding sites they maintain in the parks. This one had probably a 200-300 length sliding area and maintained fire pit for keeping warm in between sliding. This animation was made by taking a series of pictures taken in sequence with the rapid shoot feature on my camera and putting them in separate layers of the same image.

Andrew's EEG this morning

After the MRI came back fine on Andrew two weeks ago they decided to do an EEG just to be sure everything is ok in his head. To do the stress-EEG he was only allowed to sleep for 3 hours last night (from midnight to 3 am) and he couldn't eat anything after midnight. I kept him up to midnight with Graham and Anna and then Dawn got up with him from 3 to 5:30. At 5:30 I got up and then at 8:30 Andrew and I went to Children's Hospital to have the EEG done.

The results came back completely normal but I wasn't sure at first because when Andrew was done he was brought back out to the waiting room, were I was waiting, with a big box that was a game about getting familiar with Epilepsy. The nurse didn't say anything about it and we had to wait another 15 minutes for a room to open so we could visit with the doctor. Not knowing anything about the test resulted I assumed the game was some sort of sign that the test showed some evidence of epilepsy. Eventually we got into to see the doctor and after some talk about the last two weeks he said everything was completely normal. So, it looks like he is totally fine and we will just watch him closely in the future and look for signs of migraines or a repeat of the seizure episode. I guess they just had a bunch of those games and were using them as kid prizes for going through the EEG but I wanted to suggest they really shouldn't just give out free games like that until after visit.

All we will do going forward is watch out for the headaches and any seizures and see the neurologist for checkups once and while. Thanks for everyones prayers out there.
